Round 1 · Say anything
Talk as much as you like.
Describe it, compare it, wave your arms, make up a terrible rhyme. The only thing you can't say is the word on the card.
"Tall stripy tower by the sea, ships look for it, it blinks all night…"
Co-op guessing game · pass the phone
Forty cards, three rounds, one phone passed around the room. The deck never changes. Your clues just get smaller, until you're acting out a lighthouse in total silence.
*Anything except the word on the card.
Round 1 · Say anything
Describe it, compare it, wave your arms, make up a terrible rhyme. The only thing you can't say is the word on the card.
"Tall stripy tower by the sea, ships look for it, it blinks all night…"
Round 2 · Say one thing
Same deck, reshuffled. Pick the one word that drags round one back into their heads. They've heard these cards before. That's the trick.
"Coast." "…the tower thing! Lighthouse!"
Round 3 · Say nothing
By now the whole room knows the deck by heart. Become the thing: stand very tall and sweep one glowing arm across the room. Someone gets it in two seconds.
Stands tallSweeps an arm like a beam“LIGHTHOUSE!”
Setting up
Nothing to install. Nobody else needs the app. One phone keeps the timer, the cards, the score and whose turn it is.
Type in whoever's in the room. Each team gets a colour, so the phone always knows who's up.
Mix official decks until you have 40 cards. Signed in, you can add community decks or write your own.
The clue-giver holds the phone, the timer runs, the team shouts. Time's up, hand it on. Need a break? The game saves itself.
